Look
Very dark brown in color, with tints of Amber when in the light. Only in direct light does it reveal that it is not as dark as a stout or Porter, otherwise it's deceiving. Head is cream colored, and thin. Not much lacing.
Smell
The aroma of toffee, caramel, and vanilla tempts your nose to take a dip in the sweet liquid in front of you, but alas, you must resist to avoid looking absolutely stupid.
Taste
While the Aroma has your nose wanting to jump in nostrils first, the taste leaves your tongue testing the waters.. errrr beer. The taste, while pleasant, isn't as pronounced as the aroma. Nice subtle flavors of toffee and vanilla. However, it will leave you asking, where's the pudding? Bill Cosby would not approve.
Feel
This beer has a light creamy mouth feel, with soft carbonation. Has a heavier body than some brown ales that I've had. The beer finishes how it starts, with subtle notes of the flavors it started with.
Drinkability
While I wouldn't want to pound these down at a party, it's an enjoyable beer to sip on. I'd drink it again, although the subtle flavors will leave your tongue wanting more from them.
