The guys from Iron Fist recently drove up from Vista, to Anaheim's own Bottle Logic in Anaheim. To brew the official beer for this years OC Brew Ha Ha Festival. The beer "Dr. Strange Matter" is a French style Saison with honey, basil and peppercorns to-be aged in various wine barrels. The above image courtesy of the Brew Ha Ha Facebook page. The beer will be released around mid August in the weeks approaching the 5th annual Brew Ha Ha with Orange County and San Diego distribution.

Karl Strauss recently celebrated 25 years of brewing by celebrating the annual Changing of the Barrels. An event that honors the life and reputation of Karl Strauss' beers and the release of their 25th anniversary "Barrel Aged Doppelbock." It was held Saturday, February 8th at the Karl Strauss Brewery and Tasting Room at 5985 Santa Fe Street in the brewery's hometown of San Diego, California.

The Great American Beer Festival is by far the most renowned beer festival and beer judging in the states. A lot of breweries were put on a wait list, and tickets for the beer festival sold out in 45 minutes!

That didn't stop the craft beer masses to enrich their palates for craft beer nirvana. The MASSIVE ammount of breweries in attendance proved that judging all those tasty beers, would not be an easy task. With 84 category's ranging from coffee beer to barley wine to session beer and each category having at least 20 if not more entries.

Looks like the Hangar 24 Craft Brewery out in Redlands, CA is at it again.  With their new expansion almost complete the Tap Room is going to be demolished this weekend to make way for the new and improved Tap Room along with the migration of two of their tanks.  With this renovation they will be adding much needed square footage to the interior tasting room.
