With this festive season upon us, how could one not want to enjoy it without beer?

This month, Angel City Brewery will be hosting two festive events filled with holiday cheer and plenty of beer! Both events will be taking place on consecutive Sunday afternoons, two different events with the same merry theme.

The first of these, Hoppy Holidays will be taking place on Sunday 11 December from 12 pm to 6 pm. Brewery guests can check off their entire holiday shopping list at Angel City Brewery’s retail store and Beer Bazaar while sipping on festive flights or Angel City’s decadent Imperial Chai Stout. Carolers will wander the Brewery spreading good tidings, while the Beer Hall will have live tunes by Charlie Alley, Suez, Brenda and the Awe, Flannel Jet Duo and Kid Culver. To satiate dancers, PostCards CAS and Romeo’s Pizza will be serving their tasty dishes outside in the parking lot. $1 from every pint sold during the event, up to $500, will go to The Skid Row Housing Trust, which provides permanent supportive housing for those less fortunate.

Angel City's second holiday event, Holiday Paw-ty, invites all to party like a happy puppy at Angel City Brewery's Holiday Paw-ty on December 18th from 12 pm to 5 pm. Along with Best Friends Animal Society, Angel City brings a day of merriment with man's best friend. Fans are encouraged to bring their pups in for treats, beats and eats. Dogs (and their humans) can pick up some new gear from SportleashBrewbitesHOPN BakeryBean Goods and Bonz on the Way. Human treats provided by BrewWings. Take a family photo in Angel City's holiday themed photo booth where plenty of doggie accessories will be available for dress up. Best Friends LA will be bringing their mobile pet adoption for on-site cuddles or forever homes.

"We love hosting events at Angel City Brewery where the community can mingle and be merry," said Mark Turocy, general manager for Angel City Brewery. "For December, we wanted to work with two fantastic non-profits to spread holiday cheer to both humans and pets alike."

Angel City Brewery brews for the greater LA area and beyond at their Downtown-based brewery in the heart of the Arts District. The brewery’s Public House features a 19-tap bar that serves an ever-changing roster of classic and newly inspired beer, and is open seven days a week with a full calendar of events ranging from trivia nights to art shows, live music and festivals.

Beer is The Answer at Screens 'n' Suds Big Event

When most beer geeks look at their elixir filled glass, one either gazes at or thinks of ways to unmask it. Evaluating and demystifying to find the purpose or wonder of that particular beer. Either the brewer had the intention, the mistake, or the unknown with said brew. Labels can only take us so far into the imagination or process and concoction of said brew. Tonight for the Screens N' Suds 'Big Event' held at The Answer Brewpub, side project of An Mekong of Mekong Restaurant fame. The only answer needed to this question is hand made craft beer.
