Ever been in Laguna Beach, looking for a tasting room? Soon, there will be.

With a tasting room and production facility on the way to the epi-center of Laguna’s art festivals and fairs, Laguna Beach Beer Company announced today that it entered into a lease for a tasting room and production facility in Laguna Canyon.

Located at 869 Laguna Canyon Drive, The Laguna Beach tasting room will feature a seven-barrel brewing system, tasting room with indoor and outdoor seating, and a kitchen offering a light menu. Production at the Laguna Beach location is expected to begin in late Spring 2017.

This lease comes on the heels of Laguna Beach Beer Company’s announced purchase of the Cismontane production facility and tasting room in Rancho Santa Margarita, which is expected to close in January.  Together, the two facilities will have capacity to produce over 6,000 barrels of beer annually.  The Rancho Santa Margarita location will focus on production of Laguna Beach Beer Company’s core beers, such as Greeters Ale, Thousand Steps IPA, and Canyon Road Red. The Laguna Beach location will provide a platform for experimental beers and special releases.  The two tasting rooms will each showcase beers from both production facilities as well as from other acclaimed local breweries.

“This expansion brings us one step closer to our dream of producing beers in Laguna Beach that are reflective of the vibe and culture of our home community,” said Laguna Beach Beer Company’s co-founder Brent Reynard. “We are working to create a beer program that can stand shoulder to shoulder with Laguna’s art community in its quality and artisanal character,” added co-founder Mike Lombardo.  Lombardo further pointed out that the location is at the foot of a stop made by the year-round Laguna Beach trolley, has ample parking, and is walking distance to the beach and village.

Like its plan for the Rancho Santa Margarita facility, Laguna Beach Beer Company will strive to make its tasting room a fixture of the local community, a partner to nearby businesses, and a friend to its neighbors.

Beer is The Answer at Screens 'n' Suds Big Event

When most beer geeks look at their elixir filled glass, one either gazes at or thinks of ways to unmask it. Evaluating and demystifying to find the purpose or wonder of that particular beer. Either the brewer had the intention, the mistake, or the unknown with said brew. Labels can only take us so far into the imagination or process and concoction of said brew. Tonight for the Screens N' Suds 'Big Event' held at The Answer Brewpub, side project of An Mekong of Mekong Restaurant fame. The only answer needed to this question is hand made craft beer.
