Coming to Los Angeles next week is a new creative mash-up, involving beer, food, music, and art!

Blue Moon Brewing Company is teaming up with some of LA’s top creators, including Chef Roy Choi, to host a collaborative event next Friday night. Blue Moon Brewing Company Presents: Cook, Collaborate & Listen LA will be taking place at The Container Yard in LA’s Arts District on August 19th together with a free outdoor event.

Starting at 6pm and running until 10pm, Blue Moon Brewing Co. is bringing together LA’s favorite creative minds for an evening of collaboration in the LA Arts District. Join Blue Moon as the brewery explores what happens when you put great beer, food, music, art and a heck of a lot of creative people all together in one place. Guests can expect an amazing evening of beer, food from Kogi BBQ and The Grilled Cheese Truck, a chance to meet Chef Roy Choi, Blue Moon Founder and Head Brewmaster Keith Villa, among other creators, live art created by Kozyndan and live music at The Container Yard.

Blue Moon’s head brewmaster has drawn creative energies from his various experiences. "I have always pulled inspiration for the beers I create from my travels and the creative people I've met along the way," says Villa. "I'm thrilled to team up with Roy and Family of the Year to pair our art forms and see how each of our creative processes influences the others."

For Choi, collaboration is an obvious necessity. "Collaboration is essential to my creative experience," said Choi. "I am inspired by the things around me—people, music, beer—to push the boundaries and create original food and dining experiences." Choi's partnership with the brewery also includes numerous 'Fresh Takes' recipes which are inspired by and include Blue Moon beers. The recipes can be found at bluemoonbrewingcompany.com/roy-choi.

A limited amount of tickets for next Friday’s event are available online at www.BlueMoonCCL.Eventbrite.com (don’t wait – they’re very limited).

Beer is The Answer at Screens 'n' Suds Big Event

When most beer geeks look at their elixir filled glass, one either gazes at or thinks of ways to unmask it. Evaluating and demystifying to find the purpose or wonder of that particular beer. Either the brewer had the intention, the mistake, or the unknown with said brew. Labels can only take us so far into the imagination or process and concoction of said brew. Tonight for the Screens N' Suds 'Big Event' held at The Answer Brewpub, side project of An Mekong of Mekong Restaurant fame. The only answer needed to this question is hand made craft beer.
