On this coming Sunday on the 21st of June 2015, we shall honor the Vader to our Luke, and the Phil to our Jordan. I, of course am talking about our fathers we deeply respect when we were just wee bit lads. As father’s day creeps up right around the corner, here at BierBuzz.com we would like to offer our beloved reader a few father’s day gift that might just make you the “favorite” one.

Keep in mind the list is not a ranking. We love all beer creation equally**

 1.    Brewery Tour in San Diego - $75 - $200

On the first of our list is a breezy, boozy brewery tour in good ol’ San Diego. Though it is the priciest on our list, it is well worth it I assure you. There is a wide selection between the public tour and the private tour. The tour supplies 2-3 breweries stops with lunch and tasting .The price ranges on the date and time you and your old man decide to take this manly man trip to San Diego. Breweries include –

 ·      Mission Brewery

 ·      Pizza Port

 ·      Ballast Point

 ·      Stone brewing Co.

·      Green Flash Brewing Co.

 ·      San Marcos Brewery

 ·      Ale Smith brewing Comapany

 ·      San Diego Brewing Co.

       The Lost Abbey

  2.    Mini kegerator refrigerator & draft beer dispenser  - $149.99 (amazon)

Imagine a sunny day and your old man says, “pass me a beer, son”. You throw him a beer, but alas the beer is what one would call lukewarm. Fear not! The mini kegerator refrigerator & draft beer dispenser is here to the rescue! The internal temperature is electronically temperature controlled to be kept at a cool 38-54 degrees Fahrenheit. It can fit on standard mini keg and comes in a tasteful metallic silver and chrome accent. This modern machinery is the perfect gift for your old man to show off at his next gathering or dinner party.

  3.     Brewer’s best deluxe equipment kit by Home Brew Ohio - $124.99

The Home Brew Ohio deluxe kit is the perfect thing for a summer bonding activity. This gives an educational look into the fermentation and flavoring that goes into those little bottles college students like to drink until they don’t remember their names. The deluxe kit also gives the user a sense of control and ownership to the beer they can brew and eventually taste. This is the perfect fathers day gift for you and the dad to get together and put something special together.

4.     Old Rasputin Imperial Stout - $8.99 4pk/12oz

As the only craft beer on this list, this one has a pretty firm grasp on my taste buds. As a beer connoisseur and a firm stout/porter lover this beer is an excellent choice in those that falls in line with my taste buds. For a chance to tingle your father’s sensation of taste, this Russian Imperial Stout is the perfect bottle to share.

 ·      Style o   Russian Imperial Stout ·      Color  o   Black  ·      ABV  o   9%

·      Bitterness    o   75 IBUs

 5.    24 pack of coronas and a request for a day off – $24/priceless

 Available at any local supermarkets

Nothing says “I love you” to dad like getting him a day off and getting a cool 18 holes in with some coronas. This is the cheapest and most efficient option for those with a little bit tighter wallets like myself. Just take a seat and get in a couple of hours of bonding with your old man!

  Bonus. Beer dispensing couch!!

Well there you have it! Our list of things we want from our children when we become dads. To all the fathers out there, have a great fathers day!

Beer is The Answer at Screens 'n' Suds Big Event

When most beer geeks look at their elixir filled glass, one either gazes at or thinks of ways to unmask it. Evaluating and demystifying to find the purpose or wonder of that particular beer. Either the brewer had the intention, the mistake, or the unknown with said brew. Labels can only take us so far into the imagination or process and concoction of said brew. Tonight for the Screens N' Suds 'Big Event' held at The Answer Brewpub, side project of An Mekong of Mekong Restaurant fame. The only answer needed to this question is hand made craft beer.
