Celebrating its second anniversary, Phantom Carriage Brewery will be hosting a party.

Taking place tomorrow, from 2-9pm at their taproom in Carson, CA, Phantom Carriage’s second anniversary party will feature 22+ of their own wild beers (including archived goodies) plus rare guest beer offerings from local craft breweries, macabre horror films presented by Scream Factory & guest DJs. And guests can get there early and stay late, as their taproom will be open from noon to midnight, as usual.

There is no admission fee to this event and it will be held indoors & outdoors (in their back parking lot). Commemorative 5oz glasses are available (for the first 500 guests) for $7, which also includes one’s first beer pour and then pay as you go afterwards. To provide some ambiance, there will be some “wicked music”, house-smoked BBQ, and more.

In addition to 18 of their beers (including several varieties of their Broadacres, stouts, saisons, and more), Phantom Carriage will also be releasing four beers on the hour, every hour, from 3-6pm.  These beers are the last kegs in existence of their kind. Tickets for each of these beers can only be purchased at their outdoor merchandise booth: 3pm: Anguished Wood (Vintage; 2016), 4pm: Lugosi (Vintage; 2015), 5pm: The Eldest Oak (Vintage: 2014), and 6pm: Vermiste Kat (Vintage; 2015).

Beyond their own beers, there will also be guest beers from Homage Brewing, Highland Park Brewery, Beachwood Blendery, Beachwood BBQ & Brewing, El Segundo Brewing Co., and Casa Agria Specialty Ales that will be available.

For more information on the specific beers and details about the party, you can check out the Facebook event page.

Beer is The Answer at Screens 'n' Suds Big Event

When most beer geeks look at their elixir filled glass, one either gazes at or thinks of ways to unmask it. Evaluating and demystifying to find the purpose or wonder of that particular beer. Either the brewer had the intention, the mistake, or the unknown with said brew. Labels can only take us so far into the imagination or process and concoction of said brew. Tonight for the Screens N' Suds 'Big Event' held at The Answer Brewpub, side project of An Mekong of Mekong Restaurant fame. The only answer needed to this question is hand made craft beer.
