Press Release: Local Elected Officials to Attend Ribbon-Cutting at the 2017 California Irish Festival

March 8th, 2017 (Upland, CA) – Bolstering this year’s festivities at the California Irish Festival will be some notable elected officials.

This exciting family-friendly festival will feature local elected officials, helping to welcome attendees to the festivities. Local elected officials to be in attendance will be State Senator Anthony J. Portantino, Upland Mayor Debbie Stone, and the Upland City Council. Addressing those gathered will be Senator Portantino and Mayor Stone along with a festive ribbon-cutting.


Owing to the size of the event as well as its expected attendance, the 2017 California Irish Festival is one of the biggest, events to take place in downtown Upland. In addition to the local elected officials, many of those from the Upland Chamber of Commerce will be also in attendance at this year’s event.


Building off of the success of its 2016 inaugural California Irish Festival, BierBuzz® Events will host their second annual California Irish Festival on March 11th and 12th, 2017 in downtown Upland, CA. The second annual California Irish Festival will celebrate the best in Irish cuisine & food trucks, family fun, vendors, live Celtic music, multiple beer gardens, bagpipes and more.  All ages are welcome, so bring family and friends are welcome to come to downtown Upland, CA and celebrate the California Irish Festival!


There is no admission fee to enjoy this festive event, which begins at 11am on both March 11th and 12th. On March 11th, the festival goes until the late hour of 11pm and, on March 12th, the festival concludes at 9pm.  For those interested in purchasing packages of beer tickets to save some money at the event can pre-purchase beer tickets at CaliforniaIrishFest.com. Attendees also have the option of getting a VIP package at the website, as well, which yields 4 beer tickets, an insulated growler bag, a BierBuzz bottle-opener lanyard, and a 2017 California Irish Festival shirt. A portion of the proceeds will go to the help the Historic “Downtown Upland Merchants Association” to revitalize downtown Upland and "Dive Warriors," a 501(c)3 charity that helps disabled veterans!
